Job Summary
English Home Fabrications Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and skilled PTW Operator to join our production and fabrication team at our facility in Balidih, Bokaro.
The ideal candidate should have 4–5 years of hands-on experience in PTW machine operations along with a good understanding of welding processes, structural fabrication, and shop drawings. The candidate will be responsible for operating the PTW machine safely and efficiently while maintaining required production, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor PTW machines as per production requirements and job specifications.
- Set up and operate the machine according to the required process and material specifications.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
- Understand structural fabrication requirements and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings.
- Work closely with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and other production team members.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and quality of fabricated components.
- Monitor machine performance and report any operational or technical issues to the supervisor.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting whenever required.
- Carry out basic preventive maintenance and routine machine checks as instructed.
- Follow prescribed production schedules and complete assigned jobs within the required timeline.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and work area.
- Strictly follow company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE during operations.
- Ensure proper handling of materials and fabricated components to prevent damage.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in PTW machine operations.
- Good practical knowledge of PTW machine operation and setup.
- Knowledge of welding processes and structural fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.
- Good understanding of production processes and workplace safety.
- Ability to identify basic machine or operational problems.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production/fabrication team.
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or a related technical trade is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on experience may also be considered.
